Is it safe?

QR Ph is a BSP-regulated national payments standard.

It is not an app you need to trust on its own. It is a standardized QR format built on the same central-bank rails that already move money in the Philippines.

Central-bank regulated

Every participant is supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas. Non-compliance with the QR mandate is sanctionable.

A global technical standard

QR Ph follows the EMV® QR specification — the same framework family as EMV chip cards and national schemes worldwide.

No account data in the code

The QR carries routing and payment instructions, not your account number or card details.

You approve in your own app

Your wallet shows the merchant name and exact amount, and money moves only after your PIN or biometric approval.

Dynamic and time-limited

Merchant QR Ph codes carry the exact amount and typically expire quickly (e.g. about 30 minutes).

Fee-free for customers

Paying a merchant with QR Ph carries no customer-side fee under the BSP rulebook.
